Description
Two types of material are used for filtration: metal mesh and felt membrane.
The metal mesh is a coarse oil filter that traps large contaminants. The felt layer , due to its fine-pored structure, effectively traps iron filings and dust that form as a result of wear of parts. Together with thorough cleaning, filter materials provide the necessary throughput of the transmission fluid.
